<p>The operating system is for a machine in which two parts move together, particularly a folding machine. The approach movement is effected by a low pressure mechanism acting on one of the parts, while between the latter and the other part is a flat ram of large surface area. The ram comprises two rigid components one above the other, and joined together so as to form a chamber which can be inflated by low pressure. The force exerted is a function of the surface area of the ram.</p> |
