Protection circuit for high-power transmitter - prevents flash over under all circumstances by switching devices disabling tubes
摘要

The protection circuit has an extra switching device that disables one of the tubes by applying an appropriate voltage to its grid when the other tube has turned on. The turn-on switching device is set so that it responds only to a current flow large enough to have resulted from a flash-over in both tubes. A damping resistor is connected into the capacitor's discharge circuit and has an inductor in parallel with it. The damping resistor dampens any oscillations when the capacitor discharges across the discharge gap.
