<p>The energy absorber is for use with suspended structures such as lifts, equipped with safety clamps etc. It comprises a brake plate, a support table and two side plates, the brake plate having an oblong groove and the other plates drillings. Bolts are accommodated in groove and drillings, so that the brake and support plates lie in a common vertical plane, one forming an extension of the other, being held together by the bolts and side plates. The pressure of the side plates on the brake plate is adjusted by nuts, pulled down on the bolts to a predetermined torque. Plate springs, can be fitted between the nuts and the side plates.</p> |
