The pulse generator (G) delivers periodic pulses to the signal input of the circuit (P) to be tested, and to one input of a mixer stage (U). The circuit (P) output is connected to the mixer (U) other input. Propagation times between the two mixer inputs and its output are equal, and the mixer (U) output is connected through a selector (SE) to a smoothing stage (Gf). The selector (SE), possibly together with the generator (G), are so designed, that only the pulse corresp. to the signal delay time in the tested circuit (P) appears at the selector (SE) output.
