<p>The sound cine equipment has a simple synchronisation control in which the sound head and film gate have separate motors (1, 2) operated by control pulses from two generators (5, 6). The film take-up loop size is constantly monitored to ensure that the two systems are together. A single comparator circuit provides the correction signals for either drive with the correction applied by increasing the pulse length rather than the frequency. Generators (3, 4) produce pulses proportional in length to the instantaneous motor reductions. Comparators (7, 8) are supplied with pulses from both generators.</p> |
