<p>A device for suspending a timber felling unit on a boom, including a rotator connected to the boom, the rotator being connected to the felling unit via a Cardan type joint including a link pivoted to the rotator about a first axis of rotation and pivoted to the felling unit about a second axis perpendicular to the first. Interengaging shoulders are provided on the rotator and felling unit which prevent pivoting of the link about the first axis when the felling unit is close to a raised position in which a tree trunk may be cut, so that felling of the tree occurs only about the second axis at least in the initial stages.</p> |
