PURPOSE:To decrease the harmful influences of the vibration of a handle, by lightening weight applied to a steering column by mounting a gauge board to not the steering column but a steering column support member fixed to a car body. CONSTITUTION:A lower portion of a steering column 1 is connected at the axle side through a tilt joint 3, and a steering column bracket provided with a tilt mechanism supported at the car body side is installed to the column 1. Meanwhile, a gauge board 8 is supported to a steering column support member 5 fixed to a car body by means of a hinged bracket 6 in a revolution-possible shape. Thus, the harmful influences of the vibration of a handle can be diminished because the total weight of the gauge board 8 is not applied to an upper portion of the column 1. |
