PURPOSE:Crude reheat furnace is constructed to move in a specified range along the transfer line to locally heat steel piece where temperature fall is likely to occur, before it enters the crude rolling mill, thereby to maintain uniform temperature for the steel piece. CONSTITUTION:This crude reheat furnace has a furnace body 1 of a three-face structure comprising both sides and ceiling. The furnace body 1 hangs from the upper portion above the roller table 4 so as to cover steel piece or slab S. A number of burners 11 is provided to the internal of the furnace body 1 so that the burners 11 are collected to a limited space corresponding to the corners of the slab. To use this crude reheat furnace, the mobile track 3 is moved along the rail 3 to a position required. To position the furnace body 1, the tranversely running block 2 is adustably moved to the center of the table 4, then the hanger 21 is used to lower the furnace body 1 close to the table 4. The furnace width adjuster mechanism 13 is adjusted to the width of the steel piece or slab S, which is then heated by the burner 11. This directly reduces temperature variation of the rolling material. |
