The unit (1) is connected to the mains supply (2) and contains a transformer (4) and rectifier (6) for energising the various functions. These supplies are for gas detectors, door bells, communications and similar functions. Infeeds from remote circuits can also be accommodated. An electronic unit (10) supervises the system, and a horn (13) gives audible warning. A relay (11) with external connections is included. An accumulator or battery (17) is incorporated as an emergency supply. The whole unit can be mounted on standard rails (24) or by means of fixing screws for which holes (22) are provided.
