<p>The press has a piercing tool driven via a transmission linkage, an additional separating shearing being mounted on the same machine body. The transmission linkage is arranged to be selectively coupled to the drives of the piercing tool and shears respectively. Each of the drives pref. includes an eccentric mechanism acting on an associated tool ram, the common transmission linkage including a connecting rod. at the end of the latter adjacent to the eccentric mechanisms there is a separate clutch shaft, connected to the rod by a power driven swivel link for selective coupling to the eccentrics.</p> |
