The cable termination includes a pressure equalising chamber (16) whose base comprises two plates. one plate (47) forms the base of an oil chamber (30) and also caries the bellows (23) used for compensating for differences in pressure between gas and oil. The other plate (48) carries a conductor protection tube, and couples the gas side of the bellows to the gas duct of the cable. Channels and orifices (44, 45, 46, 49) provide the gas connections between bellows and cable.
