The exhaling valve is constructed with a flexible membrane arranged in such a way that safe return of the membrane to the closing position is ensured. The value has a cover plate (1), membrane (2), and a number of upright support ribs (3) arranged radially. The top edges of the upright supports (3) slope towards the circumference and are connected to the cover plate (1) and the centre-ends are connected by a hub. During the exhaling the membrane flexes downwards until it comes so rest against the sloping edges of the upright supports (3) which have a limiting effect on the movement of the membrane preventing its excessive deformation so that its return to the closed position would be in jeopardy.
