The cap intended as cover for an aerosol container, has a cylindrical wall (1) the inside of which has a locking bead (4) near the open end (5), capable of gripping under a ridge on the container. The bead is arranged at a distance from the rim (3) of the cap and an internal annular collar (6) is provided at a distance above the bead. The open end (5) may have a diverging chamfered profile to facilitate fitting of the cap on container. The collar may have a triangular section whose lower side is in a plane at right angles to the centre line of the cap.
