PURPOSE:To enhance both writing and reading performance of the information on the magnetic recording medium by applying the winding to the voice coil motor and then applying the current to the winding in the direction where the magnetic field is generated in order to negate the leak magnetic field given from the magnetic circuit as well as the external magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The mechanism part of the magnetic disk device consists of magnetic head 2 which performs writing and reading to magnetic recording medium 1, carriage 3 attached with head 2, magnetic circuit 4 which functions as the driving source for the magnetic head and the carriage, and voice coil 5 so-called as the voice coil motor. Winding 9 is provided to the yoke of circuit 4 with connection to power source 10. Then the current is flown to winding 9 in such direction where the magnetic field caused by the current may negate the external magnetic field, especially the leak magnetic field given from the magnetic circuit. |
