The device has a store for a first and second signal. There is a tone generator whose frequency is proportional to a certain input signal. There is a coupling circuit coupling the first signal from the store to the tone generator, so that it delivers a frequency proportional to that of the first signal. The first signal is combined with the second signal by combination devices of the coupling circuit, so that the tone generator signal spectrum is widened by the second signal addition.
