PURPOSE:To identify kinds, properties, grades, etc., from an external shape by forming a kind-indicating protrusion on a side face of an electrode, showing the kind by the difference of its position. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 6 is formed on the surface of n type semiconductor layer 4, and an electrode 7 is formed on the surface of p<+> type semiconductor layer 3. On the side face of a ring-shaped electrode 7 is set a kind-indicating protrusion 9. This kind-indicating protrusion 9 is formed on different positions according to its kind. Therefore, the position of the protrusion 9 tells the kind clearly to the outside. |
