<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a filament from breaking when a high filament voltage is impressed in manufacturing process by blacking both surfaces of the filament fitted to the supporting body through a spring. CONSTITUTION:A base metal 8 and a radioactive substance 9 are fitted to the position corresponding to a through hole 2 along the axis of an electron gun on the filament 7 fitted through a spring 5 to a supporting body 3 equipped to both ends (one of them only shown in the figure) of an insulating plate 1. On both surfaces of the filament 7 is formed blacking layers 10, 11 made of chrome oxide. Blacked layers 10, 11 are formed by being heated in dry hydrogen current after clad material of Cr containing alloy and the filament 7 was heated in a water containing hydrogen furnace, or after electrolytic plating of Cr on the filament or evaporation of Cr on the filament 7 was conducted.</p> |
