Coke wharf for coke oven plant - with central coke quenching car track over partly symmetrical inclined ramps

A coke wharf for coke oven batteries is an inclined ramp from which the coke can be transferred to a belt conveyor. The track for the coke quenching car which discharges the coke after quenching to the wharf is arranged above the inclined ramp. Another inclined ramp of shorter length is arranged on the other side of the vertical plane through the track in a mirror symmetry to the upper part of the first ramp. This makes it possible to use as coke quenching cars, not only one-sided discharge cars, but also hopper types which discharge on both sides, as they are used for vertical-chamber coke ovens.
