Packaging plastic bags in groups where each bag comprises a rectangular pocket with one face extended to provide a flap which can be aligned with similar flaps from adjacent bags to be anchored together and supported in a suitable pack. Perforations allow individual bags to be detached from their respective flaps. The end of the pack is removable for access to the ends of the bags. The pack is a self-contained dispensing system, compared with bags mounted in series on a roll which must be supported by means which allow the roll to turn. Bags need not be removed in strict succession. The bags may be made by partially folding over each edge of a strip of flexible thermoplastic film, welding the pocket edges and cutting the folded film to obtain pairs of pockets separated by a single layer of material which may be perforated and divided to provide the flaps for each bag. The lips of the pockets may be doubled back to enclose an ancillary tie string. |
