<p>PURPOSE:To detect the shape of a beltlike plate in process of conveyance on a rolling line, etc., with uniform sensitivity and high precision irrespective of the degree of a defective shape, by combining together information on the amplitude value of the vibration of the beltlike plate and information of its vibration frequency. CONSTITUTION:The shape of beltlike steel plate 1 in process of conveyance, e.g. an elongated shape is measured by telemeter 3 composed of electronic circuit 3b and detection part 3a arranged adjoining to the reverse surface of center part in the width direction of steel plate 1. The output of this telemeter 3 is detected 4 to obtain a voltage in proportion to the vibration amplitude of steel plate 1. Further, analog voltage converter circuit 5 cuts the direct-current component of the output of telemeter 3 and the repetition of the distance variation occurring to steel plate 1, i.e. the vibration frequency is converted into an analog voltage. Analog arithmetic correction circuit 6 performs the arithmetic of the equation denoting the outputs of circuits 4 and 5 by V5 and V6 respectively. Through the shape detection by output V of circuit 6, its output is nearly constant regardless of the degree of the shape defect, so that the shape of steel 1 can be detected with high precision over a broad range.</p> |
