PURPOSE:To control a terminal system constituted of terminal equipments having each different screen characteristic with a single protocol converter, by integrating a terminal controller corresponding to the terminal equipment to be controlled, into a virtual terminal controller. CONSTITUTION:A host computer 11 is connected to plural terminal equipments having each different screen characteristic, through protocol controllers 12, 16, and a virtual terminal controller 13. The controller 13 is formed from a terminal controller 15 corresponding to a protocol converter 14, and the terminal equipment 17. A data received from the computer 11 is converted and edited by the virtual terminal output data setting means 1F of the device 14, and a terminal data converting means 1G of the device 15 and outputted to the terminal equipment 17, and a received data from the terminal equipment 17 is sent to the computer 11 through a virtual terminal input buffer 1C, and a host transmission buffer 1D. As for the device 14, one piece is suffice irrespective of the number of pieces of the terminal equipment. |
