A spherical head contains a module consisting of a halogen incandescent lamp and reflector (18), and is mounted on a cubic support (2) having electrical operating devices (6, 9). The housing (1) of the luminair head has the function purely of screening the module, and is supported, in common with the holder (17) for the module as well as a diaphragm ring (19) framing the reflector opening, by a first bracket (16) which is arranged in the interior of the housing. The first bracket (16) is rotatably mounted in a second bracket (15) which for its part engages rotatably with the cubic support (2). The spherical head can be rotated about a vertical axis of rotation by 335 DEG and at the same time about a horizontal axis of rotation by 90 DEG . The two axes of rotation of the brackets are at right angles to one another. This design provides a more cost effective production of the spherical housing of the luminair and a simpler assembly thereof than before. <IMAGE> |
