<p>Powdered metal parts, especially valve parts of an internal combustion engine which are subject to adhesive wear in service, withstand such wear better when they have substantially uniformly dispersed through them talc and/or boron nitride. The addition of talc and/or boron also improves compactability of the powder and machinability of the sintered part.</p> |
