PURPOSE:To stop articles at right locations, by comparing set points and positions where the articles pass in order to detect designated locations where the articles must stop, in a stacker crane of an automatic warehouse. CONSTITUTION:A stacker crane 6 guided by means of a guide rail 5 mounted among the shelves of a solid warehouse consisting of a number of small partitions 3 is provided with detectors 18, 19 at the both sides, and travels detecting horizontal absolute address dogs 16, which show absolute addresses in the horizontal direction of the small partitions 3 installed at the both sides of a passage, and horizontal fixed location dogs 17 for stopping the stacker crane at fixed positions. When positions where articles must stop at destinations are appointed in this device, the stacker crane is let travel comparing memory value and detecting value, and right stopped at fixed locations. |
