PURPOSE:To shorten the time until the restart of operation by building a magnetic tape unit for recovery from a fault in a magnetic disc unit. CONSTITUTION:When a write instruction is sent from the side of the central processor and channel unit to magnetic disc unit 7, data is written in one route of interface line 15, interface control circuit 12, read/write circuit 10, and magnetic-disc-unit driving part 8 or in the other route of interface 15, interface control circuit 12, read/write circuit 11, and magnetic-disc-unit driving part 9 and at the same time, writing to magnetic tape unit 15 or updata operation is carried out in the route of interface 15, interface control circuit 12, read/write circuit 10, read/write change- over and data converter circuit 13, and magnetic tape unit 15. |
