<p>The utlra-violet apparatus can irradiate the entire body of a person. It has a flat housing, horizontal when in use, on whose underside are a number of tubes e.g. low-pressure mercury lamps, close together and running in the lengthwise direction. These tubes are each enclosed by a trough-shaped reflector, from which the rays emerge downwards. At the highest point of the trough section the reflectors have a series of openings (16) typically oblong slots, running in the lengthwise direction. In the cover of the housing (2) are air exhaustion ports, connected to one or more fans.</p> |
