<p>Ignition voltage pulses are applied to the spark plugs in a recurring sequence from the ignition transformer secondary winding through controlled swtiches. Each switch is in series with a plug, and the switch of the plug to be ignited is made conducting by a control signal before the beginning of the ignition process and to its end. At least one safety signal is used in addn. to the control signal so that when the control signal fails during the ignition process, it maintains the switch conducting.</p> |
