Voltage measurement with human body in current circuit - uses low current liq. crystal or solid state display

A voltage measurement or test device is partic. for use in single pole form with the human body in the measurement current circuit. It avoids the limitations of usual devices with relatively high current consumption which give no or hardly any indication with low measurement voltages. Liquid crystal and or solid state display devices are used, e.g. liquid crystal display, a ferroelectric ceramic devices, and or electrochromic displays. A voltage dependent resistor, e.g. a diode or varistor, is placed in series with the indicator to limit the voltage across it.
