<p>Plastic foam is extruded into and from a channel where it expands from an extrusion orifice. A pressure controlled gas pocket provides support for the foaming material generally adjacent the extrusion die. The arrangement permits extrusion of foam having widely varying characteristics with a single apparatus.</p> |
