<p>Device for mfg. split selvedges with the aid of reciprocated weft yarn and a pair of continuously rotated, intersecting doup yarns, which are reciprocated vertically for the purpose of shed formation by needles is described in the parent patent. Yarns are rotated by a drive shaft and the weft yarn is inserted after rotation of the doup yarns through half-revolution. Shaft which carries the doup yarn bobbins is hollow and provided with an open end. Opposite end is provided with a pair of diametrally spaced doup yarn guide opening. Improvement is that a deflector serving for the guidance of the doup yarns, is provided between the end and the needles. The relationship between the shaft and the deflector is simplified.</p> |
