PURPOSE:A polyacetal resin composition capable of giving molded articles having improved surface gloss, with good antistatic properties, comprising a hydroxyl group-containing polyhydric alcohol ester of a fatty acid and a polyethylene glycol. CONSTITUTION:(A) A hydroxyl group-containing polyhydric alcohol ester of a fatty acid, obtained by reacting stearic, palmitic, or myristic acid with glycerol or pentaerythritol, preferably having one or more hydroxyl and ester groups respectively, and (B) a polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of about 1,000-20,000, are incorporated into a polyacetal by means of a mixer, preferably a twin-screw extruder. About 1% or more of the total amount of the ester and the polyethylene glycol permits sufficient antistatic properties for ordinary uses. The content of the ester is about 0.1% or more.
