<p>A radio network for mobile communications has a control centre and a relay station (Relaisstation) with e.g. 10 speech channels (Sprechkanale), one, common, call channel (Anrufkanal) and one, common, emergency channel (Notrufkanal). An emergency call is received by the relay station on the emergency channel and immediately rebroadcast on the call channel, to the control centre and to all outstations, so that help can quickly be provided. When not in use, receivers are automatically tuned to the call channel. To ensure more complete and rapid coverage, the emergency call can also be rebroadcast on the speech channels.</p> |
