PURPOSE:To provide the subject device wherein a detecting plate is brought into contact with the surface of a grindstone, a timer corresponding to the descending position of the detecting plate is operated, and the grindstone feeding device is operated in a detection command period of time, thereby to fully automate the device. CONSTITUTION:A detecting plate 9 is being pulled up during the grinding operation. However, when a motor for the grinder comes to a stop, a pressurized fluid is introduced into the piston side of a hydraulic cylinder 6 by this signal, and the detecting plate 9 tightly adheres to the surface of the grindsone. When the grindstone wears and its quantity reduces, one of near-by switches 12a, 12b ... is operated. The operation of the switch operates a timer corresponding to the switch, and simultaneously a limit switch 15 is operated by a projection 16 provided in a detecting lever 7 to rotate the motor 5. The motor 5 is stopped by the timer. According, a supplementary grindstone is supplied by the quantity corresponding to the descending position of the detecting plate 9. |
