PURPOSE:To conduct a high precision grinding process by substracting the adjustable speed component which appears at the time of front-to-rear motion in a main spindle head part from the reaction given to the cutting part, finding the actual cutting reaction and supporting the cutting part with the supporting force in response to the cutting reaction. CONSTITUTION:On part of the motor 4 which moves the main spindle 6 with a grinding wheel 8 in front and at the rear is equipped the detector 14 which detects the cutting reaction of the cutting part a by means of the cutting resistance given to the wheel 8. By subtracting an adjustable speed component (previously memoried in the correction circuit 17) which appears when the main spindle head 6, etc. move in front and at the rear from the value detected by this detector 14 by use of a substractor 16 is computed actual cutting reaction. If this computed value is input into a servo value 20, the pressure applied to a load compensation cylinder 18a is controlled, the supporting force in response to the cutting reaction is compensated to a supporting part 13, the cutting part a is supported by the supporting force suitable to the cutting reaction, a work A is ground in an excellent accuracy. |
