PURPOSE:To enable to effect theee-dimensional grinding for castings having complex configurations by revolving a cup-shaped grinding wheel and oscillating it in the direction perpendicular to the revolving direction. CONSTITUTION:A cup-shaped grinding wheel 16 is attached to an end of a hollow shaft 9 and is revolved by the shaft 9, while the wheel 16 is oscillated in the direction perpendicular to the revolving direction of the shaft 9 by an operating shaft 21 inserted within the hollow shaft. This grinding device is mounted on a truck 5 movable in a direction indicated by an arrow sign on a truck 2 having a wheel 1 equipped with rubber tire, and is moved in up-and-down. A revolving motion in a direction B and an oscillating motion in a direction A are given to the cup- shaped grinding wheel and the combined motion of these motions and the up-and- down motion makes it possible to effect three-dimensional grinding against the surfaces to be ground. |
