PURPOSE:To reduce sawing resistance and improve durability of a band saw blade by enabling to grind the blade in the grinding work of the band saw blade under giving uniform width of expanded blade edges so that the movement of width between each expanded edges will form a same trace upon sawing. CONSTITUTION:A band saw blade is revolved around an upper and lower saw- wheels at an extended condition. Grinding wheels 4, 4 are provided at an intermediate portion between the upper and lower saw-wheels and the pinching angle between both wheels 4, 4 is adjusted by moving the bearing portions for both wheels so that the outer peripheral portions of both wheels 4, 4 will contact with the expanded edge portions B1 of the saw blade B. A vibration preventing device 9 having an annular groove 9a is provided at the blade portion B2 of the saw and a swing preventing device 11 contacting side planes of the saw blade B is provided at a pair of arms 10. The edge portion B1 is prevented from vibration and swinging and uniform width of expanded edges may be ground. |
