PURPOSE:To obtain a DP unit capable of processing a volume of information at a high speed by transmitting data from an electronic computer to the display unit DP by the image in a format registered in refresh memory RFM. CONSTITUTION:From electronic computer 21, information basing upon the JIS code is converted into images in the format registered in RFM35 of DP unit 30 and sent out. Under the control of DMA controller 39, interface 31 of unit 30 sends the information direct to RFM35. The information stored in RFM35 is read out by video signal generator 36 to generates a video signal, which is display on monitor 38 via video driver 37. Consequently, conversion into RFM information is unneeded at the unit- 30 side, so that this unit can cope with a volume of input information and the requirement of high-speed processing. Further, the RFM image information is sotred, as it is, in file 22 and converted into the JIS code at need, which results in the reduction of the overhead at the computer side. |
