PURPOSE:To permit the uniform mixing of substances to be mixed regardless of the kinds of substances by providing spiral long and short blades to each rotor and by making long blade-short blade length ratio smaller than the conventional standard ratio. CONSTITUTION:A pair of parallelized rotors 2 and 3 rotating reversely to each other are provided into the mixing chamber enclosed by a casing and an end frame. The rotors have one or plural long blades 4 and short blades 5 which extend spirally along the central line of the rotor and have a spiral winding direction permitting the flow of substances to be mixed toward the central portion from the rotor end and also a short blade length/long blade length ratio in the rotor axial direction of 0.48 to 0.1. Thus, the kneader is most suitable for the vulcanizer blending operation of hard rubber, etc., in particular.
