The hand towel dispenser has a built in washing system. The endless roll of towel passes from the outlet to the inlet of the housing. There are several such lengths of used towel are stacked up before passing through a washing and drying chamber from where the clean towel is stacked up before the outlet. Several rotating fly rollers or other vortex generators beneath the fluid level in the wash tank ensure the towel is thoroughly wetted and a relative movement is produced between the towel and the fluid.
