NEW MATERIAL:A 5-fluorouracil compound of formula I: (R1, R2, and R3 are H or methyl groups; R4 is alkyl group). EXAMPLE:N1-alpha-Tocopherocarbamoyl-5-fluorouracil. USE:Antitumor agents having sufficient antitumor actions with low toxicity. PROCESS:A 6-chromanylamine of formula X is reacted with trichloromethyl chloroformate in a solvent, e.g. benzene or toluene, to give an unstable carbamoyl chloride of formula III, which is directly, without isolation, reacted with 5-fluorouracil in a solvent, e.g. DMF, to form the compound of formula I. |
