When mechanical resonators consisting of a magnetic material are calibrated by controlled removal of material by means of sand blasting, the resonators are excited into mechanical oscillations via the alternating field of a coil and the frequency of the oscillations is measured with the aid of a microphone. For this purpose, premagnetisation of the resonators is required. After the actual calibration process, the resonators are to be sorted with respect to the resonant frequency achieved and the oscillating capability. To carry out these different types of work cycles fully automatically in one device with relatively little technical complexity, the resonators are supplied by a vibrator device (4a) to a guide rail (5a), demagnetised in the latter, then magnetised for the calibration by a magnetising device (10a) and supplied to the holders (3a) of a rotary indexing table (2a). The rotary indexing table is used for supplying the resonators to a sand blasting calibration device (11a) and to various ejection points (12a, 15a) in accordance with the resonant frequency achieved.

|
