The plant spray boom suspension linkage is supported in the region of its centre of gravity so that it can swing vertically. Between the linkage and the mounting frame is a stabilising unit, which returns the linkage into its lowest position. The stabilising unit is in the form of an elastic unit which is tensioned in two directions in the lowest position of the linkage. The stabilising unit has an elastic element between a cylinder and rod. The latter each have two stops, and the elastic element is stretched by rings between both stops of the rod.
