PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the omission of data caused by thinning to a minimum by thinning prescribed picture elements for the unit of a scanning line and correcting the pixel values of nearby picture elements corresponding to the difference between the pixel value of the picture element to be thinned and the pixel value of the nearby picture element. SOLUTION: According to an input clock signal CLKIN, the picture elements of pixel values W, X and Y are inputted to a differential output circuit 3 in this order and at the timing of picture element output of the pixel value Y, a mask signal MASK is outputted from a thinning timing circuit 1. The differential output circuit 3 calculates differenceΔT between the picture element of this pixel value Y and the picture element of the pixel value X as the last inputted thinning object, and a data correction circuit 4 performs data correction based on these differential dataΔT and the pixel value Y from input data DIN. Then, the picture elements are outputted from a selection circuit 5 while being synchronized with an output clock signal CLKOUT. Namely, the picture elements of pixel values W, YA and Z are outputted in this order and the picture element of the pixel value X is not outputted. |
