<p>PURPOSE:To well recover the pH of an absorbing soln. the pH of which is lowered by absorbing SO2 in the absorption tower of the title apparatus by setting a spiral guide plate in the circulation tank of the tower to elongate the residence time of the soln. in the tank. CONSTITUTION:An absorbing soln. such as lime slurry is supplied 25 to absorption tower circulation tank 40 and dropped along spiral guide plate 74 in tank 40 while being stirred with stirrers 72A, 72b. The dropped soln. is fed to a circulation pump through line 21. Thus, enough residence time to dissolve lime, etc. in the soln. is ensured, and the pH of the soln. can be enhanced.</p> |
