A conveyor train travels on the ground, or suspended in the transport and/or conveyor layout, esp. in underground mines. It is moved backwards and forwards by two continuous cables, at an interval apart, extending between drive position and reversing position, and incorporating media for cable tension and balancing compensation. Sections of cable running up on the firmly linked driving pulleys of the drive position, and/or sections running away from the drive pulleys, are led under tension over movably mounted deflecting rollers. The rollers incorporated in the traction sections and those in the reversing sections are interconnected to provide alternating cable length balancing. This enables two-cable systems to be used in cramped and rough mining conditions, and prevents risk of cable slip or of unacceptable cable tension on curves.
|
