PURPOSE:To enhance the strength of a support part or optical part, to secure intraocular holdability and to increase recoverability, by irradiating at least one of the support part and the optical part with electron beam to cure the same. CONSTITUTION:An intraocular lens has a monolithic optical part 1 made of a material composed of silicone rubber, that is, polydimethylsiloxane and a loop-shape support part 2. At least one of the optical part 1 and the support part 2 is irradiated with electron beam under a nitrogen atmosphere to be cured. By irradiating the optical part with electron beam, intraocular holdability can be secured and, by irradiating the support part 2 with electron beam, recoverability can be increased. |
