Burner combustion monitor and quality indicator - uses voltage divider and lamps in parallel to show radiation sensor output variation

The combustion monitoring- and quality indicating-equipment for burners is esp. for use with the various types of liquid fuel and comprises a flame-radiation sensor coupled to an indicator unit. Output from the former (1) goes to an amplifier-plus-voltage-divider (2) in the latter, which may be on, or remote from the burner. Several indicator lamps (4) are connected in parallel to this divider, via diodes (3), so that lamps progressively extinguish as the sensor signal weakens with deteriorating combustion. A further protective device may be activated at a given level of deterioration.
