The horizontal tubes of tubular scaffolding are supported by special brackets (1) which are bolted to the wall of the building. The bracket is U-shaped with a flat base with a hole (8) for the fixing bolt. The arms of the bracket have curved slots (2) to receive the scaffolding tube. The tube is retained in the slot (2) by a pawl (3) which pivots on a pin (4) projecting from the bracket arm. Stops (5, 10) limit the angle of rotation of the pawl (4) so that it lies in the correct position to receive the tube.
