An absorbent sheet textile article consisting of non-woven fabric to the two faces of which has been applied a coating on about 30% to 70% of both faces consisting of a coagulated foamed dispersion comprising rubber in a three-dimensional embossed pattern providing a squeegee-like wiping action. Continuous essentially straight lines of coating traversing the faces are avoided.
