A container for livestock transport with a stackable construction and with removable sides (4) to provide smaller or larger space for the animals. The ends have slats (12) for adjustable ventilation and a removable cover (24) is fitted over the top. A tray under the container collects droppings. The container provides for the safe transport of small or large animals with simplified handling using cranes. The animals are loaded through pivoted ramps forming the end walls.
